Base bikes is a family-owned business on a mission to create the best kids’ bikes in Australia.
Visit base bikes When the founders of base began the search for their son’s first bike, they hit a snag. They knew what they wanted; something lightweight, with quality components and a kid-friendly geometry that made learning easy and fun. The snag? That bike didn’t exist in Australia.
Solution? Just make the bike yourself, of course. And so, base bikes was born, an Aussie-run business dedicated to making the best kids bikes in Australia.

This is a tough one, because it can be hard to see the feasibility of your start up objectively. Multiple failures could be seen as obstacles to overcome, or they could be a sign of a poor business. Having a mentor is a great way to keep you seeing the forest rather than toughening up to just keep rolling with the failures.
That it gives you freedom! A start up is like a baby, it needs your constant attention and its all take and no give!
