How is Global Sources different from Canton Fair?

Canton Fair is the world’s largest trade show with enormous scale and three distinct phases. Global Sources is smaller, more curated, and particularly strong for electronics, tech accessories, and fashion. It’s held in Hong Kong (which is easier for Australians to access than Guangzhou) and the exhibitor quality is consistently high. Many of our clients do both.

Which Global Sources show is best for electronics?

The Spring Edition (April) is the one for electronics, mobile tech, smart home devices, components, and LED lighting. The Autumn Edition (October) focuses more on fashion, accessories, home products, and lifestyle goods. When you book with us, we confirm which edition suits your product category before you commit to flights.

Do Australians need a visa for Hong Kong?

No — Australian passport holders can enter Hong Kong visa-free for up to 90 days. It’s one of the easiest Asian destinations to get to from Australia, with direct flights from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth. The show venue (AsiaWorld-Expo) is connected directly to Hong Kong International Airport, so you can attend the show without even entering the city if you’re doing a quick trip.

What does the Epic guide actually do on the day?

Your Epic guide meets you at the venue, walks the show floor with you for the full day, translates every conversation with suppliers in Cantonese and Mandarin, helps you identify the best exhibitors for your product category, supports price and MOQ negotiation, and takes notes so you leave with a clear supplier shortlist. After the show, you receive a written recap.

Can I book a guide for multiple days?

Absolutely. If you want to attend multiple Global Sources show days, or combine the show with factory visits in Shenzhen or Guangdong, we can plan a multi-day itinerary. Each additional day is AUD $600. Many clients combine Hong Kong show days with a day or two of factory visits across the border.

What happens after the show if I find a good supplier?

That’s where Epic Sourcing really earns its keep. After the show, we can manage the full follow-up — supplier verification, sample ordering, production oversight, quality control inspections, and freight to Australia. You made the connection at the show; we handle everything from there via our Out Source or Secret Source packages.
