Honda Metal Industries Vietnam, Ltd. (HMIV) is a Japanese-Vietnamese joint venture aluminium manufacturer headquartered at 31 Tu Do Boulevard, Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP), An Phu Ward, Thuan An City, Binh Duong Province. Operating under the globally recognised HONDALEX brand, HMIV was established in 2005 as the sixth factory in Honda Metal Industries' international production network, which spans nearly 70 years of aluminium manufacturing experience originating from Nagoya, Japan.

The company is a joint venture between Honda Metal Industries, Ltd. of Japan and the Long Van Group, one of Vietnam's prominent aluminium distribution and manufacturing conglomerates, combining Japanese precision engineering heritage with deep knowledge of the Vietnamese market. HMIV's factory covers more than 40,000 m² within VSIP, approximately 25km north of Ho Chi Minh City.

HMIV employs approximately 300–400 workers with registered capital of USD 6 million and 2021 annual revenue of approximately USD 24.9 million, managed by General Director Hisashi Hayashi under direct oversight of Japanese technical experts. All raw aluminium materials are imported exclusively from primary producers in Australia and Qatar. The company holds ISO 9001:2015 certification and conforms to ASTM B211M and JIS H4100 standards, with anodising to JIS H8601/H8602.

Factory Information

The campus spans more than 40,000 m² within VSIP, Thuan An City, Binh Duong Province, organised around five integrated processes: casting (600t/month), extrusion (three presses from 690t to 2,500t, 1,000 t/month total output), mold manufacturing (EDM + CNC), anodising (800 t/month, full-automatic vertical line), and fabrication (9 cutting machines, 2 TIG welding stations, 33 single power presses, 2 wide presses, 2 machining centres, 3 NC machines, 1 surface grinder). Quality control is embedded at every stage with products rejected at any step failing specification.
